After a long road trip to North Platte the Lady Huskies volleyball team brought home their third victory of the season. The varsity Huskies swept the Bulldogs in three sets. The win was also their second win of the week.

“Overall I thought the game went well, especially in the third set when we played our game and just had fun with it,” sophomore, Kenna Merrihew said.

Before this game, the Huskies record was 2 wins and 19 losses.

“I listen to music all day game day to kind of ease my mind and so I’m not stressed before the game. It is hard to stay motivated at times especially when we were down 2-19 on the record but we still showed up to practice to put in the work because we were motivated to win,” Kenna said.

The players have stayed strong throughout their season and are putting in the work each and every day.

“The key to this game was to play our game at our pace and our level. Also to stay energized and excited,” sophomore, Paityn Wyatt said.

This game finished the week with their second win of the week and added another win to their record. The Huskies have their second game at Seward on, Oct. 3, along with a home game on Oct. 5 against Hastings. The match against Hastings is senior night for the 2024 senior class and the final home appearance for the Huskies this season.
