One huge highlight of the night was an impressive 87-yard kick return touchdown made by senior Kaiden Wineteer. That was the first time in the Huskies season that a special team scored.  This was a huge play for the Huskies, giving them a 14-6 lead at halftime.

The Huskies came out of halftime strong, scoring 18 points in the third quarter.  After a fourth-down stop, quarterback, Booker Scheierman threw an 85-yard pass to, receiver, Julian Hernandez who scored the last touchdown of the evening.

“We played for each other, we didn’t play for ourselves. Coach mentioned before the game to be willing to bloody your nose for the team and I think we executed that really well,” junior Keegan Chaney said.

Booker Scheierman had a total of 290 total passing yards as well as 3 touchdown passes throughout Friday night's game. Senior running back, Maddex Egger racked up 84 rushing yards against the Whippet’s defense.

“We knew they were going to be very physical, so running the ball was going to be very difficult. We knew that was going to be a huge challenge,” coach Kyle Peterson said.
