At Aurora Preschool, we provide a nurturing, inclusive environment designed to foster growth and discovery for children of all abilities. Our program emphasizes the importance of collaborative play-based learning where children engage in meaningful activities that enhance their intellectual, emotional, and social development

The Aurora Preschool philosophy is that children will be encouraged to learn and grow by providing a foundation of developmentally appropriate experiences where all children can succeed in a safe and nurturing environment.

Who is Eligible?
*Children from birth to age three with suspected delays, and their families.
*A child is eligible for services and could be referred if he or she is not developing typically in one or more development are, has been diagnosed with a health or physical condition that will affect his/her development, or was born prematurely.
Who Refers and How:
*Anyone concerned about the child's development (ex: family member, child care provider, physician, social worker, or other service provider) may make a referral after receiving the family's permission.
*Referrals and questions regarding services for infants and toddlers birth to three years old who may have a disability should be made to the local Early Development Network Referral Agency at 402-462-4187 Ext 121 or call Nebraska Child Find toll-free at 1-888-806-6287



WHAT IS SIXPENCE?
A free home visitation program that services children and families PRENATAL - THREE YEARS OLD.
Professionally trained in Early Childhood practices that help coach, model, and support positive parent-child interactions.
Professionals support parents and assess the development of young children to ensure early intervention, on target milestones, and school readiness. Monthly social activities to provide the opportunity to interact with your child and other families.
Serves families in Hamilton County.
WHO QUALIFIES FOR SIXPENCE?
A family who meets ONE or MORE of the risk factors below:
Low household income (including households receiving WIC or Medicaid
English as a second language
Premature birth (less than 36 weeks AND/OR under 5.5 lbs at birth)
Teen Parent (20 years old or younger)
Limited educational attainment (no GED or HS Diploma
